I ran into this post entirely by chance while wrapping up the preparations for sending my lovely agent Heidi to LA to promote my art work at the galleries there. It was with the LA crowd in mind that I created the series that compose my exhibition “Babes, Bibles, Bikinis, and Burkas”.
In short I have been creating a lot of erotic art recently… So much so that when you google “israeli erotic art” my site pops up at the top of the list.
I think that what separates eroticism from plain ole’ porn is that eroticism seeks to excite the mind as well as the loin. Personally I always try and create images which are as thought provoking as they are sexy. If the image makes a political or social statement - all the better.
My thinking is that a sexy thought provoking image has a much greater chance of getting attention and bringing an important issue into focus than an article, blog post or blurb…

PS
I guess the images here are sexy art but I don’t really feel that they transcend into something deeper…
